We went tonight to Brookside Gardens to walk through their light installation. It was beautiful and artistic and was a completely pleasant evening with my people. There were light sculptures of flowers, beehives, animals, and more. There was a nice little light show next to the lake, and some fun features like smoke bubbles (I had never seen them before and may be adding one of those machines to my collection) and soap snow.

I also discovered an amazing little tree. I’m tempted to go back and buy it but I need to learn more about it first. It’s called an Abutilon and I just need more of these bell-like flowers in my life. I was enchanted. And a small, potted sapling was just $12.00. I may be going back tomorrow.

I’m glad we could go together and am so grateful to have Evan and Kayla here along with Sam and Madison being in town for the Thanksgiving holiday.
